This was our afternoon yesterday and proved to be a great rainy day activity. Being an artist I obviously have a lot of this stuff around the house but I’m sure most of you mums/dads with little ones do too. We had the Alien stickers left over so using the black paper we made a space themed background. We just used watered down white and yellow paint and splatted it all over the page, to make it look like stars and planets. To speed up the drying process we used my hairdryer and this helped to move the paint around the page as well. When the paint was almost dry (my 2 year old has little patience) we stuck on the Alien stickers. To make the activity last a little longer when we finished I put the kids in the shower with all the pallets and brushes to clean up, this kept them entertained for a bit longer. :)
You could easily adapt this by printing pictures and sticking with glue or paint, you could use different colours and glitter if you’re feeling brave enough.
