Looking for a fun, calming and mess free activity to do with your kids for halloween? Why not try our fluffy bats?
Cut out two identical circular rings from cardboard and place together. Start wrapping black wool/yarn around the rings until you have a fluffy looking doughnut.
Slide your scissors into the gap between the rings and carefully cut the wool (see photo’s). Tightly tie a piece of wool between the rings to keep the ball of wool in place.
Carefully pull away and remove the cardboard rings. Fluff up the wool until you have a fluffy ball. Cut out some bat shaped wings from black card and draw a pair of eyes, or better yet stick on some googly eyes.
Attach eyes to the front and wings to the string and voila! A fluffy halloween bat :)
Top Tip:
Why not use the same method to make some fluffy spiders, just swap the bat wings for pipe cleaner or card spider legs.
Enjoy!
